What Does Pain On The Right Side Of The Body Indicate?

I have had a pain on the right side of my body that starts around the lower lung, upper kidney area and can even reach up into my shoulder blade. It has been going on for up to 2 years, but it is not constant. It seems to get worse when it is cold out side and when I lay down. It was diagnosed as a pulled muscle over a year ago and I still can not tell any difference. Activity does not make it any worse. i have had ultra sounds on both kidneys and every thing came out okay, and have even had a kidney biopsy.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for query. I undestand your concern
The right sided pain ranging from shoulder blade, lower lung area & kidney ... without any pathology in lungs or kidney... could be due to thorasic spine & / or disc problem....irritating nerve to cause frewuent muscle pulls.
A MRI scan would define it... to be followed by NSAID pills /steroid local injection /pain medicine
Ffollowed by physiotherapy. /surgery in some cases.
Consult a spinal surgeon.
Thanks.
