What Does Pain In The Right Shoulder And Upper Arm Indicate?

I have had pain in my right shoulder and upper arm For a month. I Had an MRI in August and the doctor said I have medium arthritis and would probably have to have a total shoulder replacement two weeks ago. I had a partial tear rotator cuff shoulder surgery in ‘99 and I have not had an issue until the last month. I Think I should have another MRI because I hurt my arm during the hurricane and I think there’s more to it than just arthritis. I have been waiting because of the holiday and in pain every day. I have trouble with different movements a lot of catching and popping burning and stabbing and hurting. Let me know What you think.

Hello,

You are in a serious situation. I think you need urgent care. Since you say tear and all. It will progress if it gets infectious. Usually, the injury to shoulders takes some time to progress. As they say, surgery is the best repair they can do but if you are not willing for surgery at least a steroid shot and range of movement correction would help you relieve pain. Anti-inflammatory and analgesics will come to your help at this time. You can take any painkillers available in your market. But do think of surgery soon.
