What Does Pain In The Lower Abdomen Upon Pressure After Eating Indicate?

For the last several days, I notice the lower left of my stomach hurts when I press on it. seems to be more noticeable after I eat. I know Dr s always press on the stomach in this area when I see them. What could this be? It does not hurt unless I press on it.

Thanks for asking.
Pain in left lower abdomen after eating &on pressing.... mostly occurs due to-
Chronic constipation,indigestion,gases.
Diverculitis
Hernia, ureteric stone
In women it could be dysmenorrhea,ovarian problems,ectopic pregnancy,pelvic inflammatory disease.
You need to consult doctor immediately. ..if you have fever,loose motions ..,Intence pain with nausea or vomitting.extreme weakness &unintentional weight loss.
Even without such thretening symptoms.. it is always advisiable to consult an expert to find the exact cause &get specifically treated.....but do not massage or foment it till advised by your doctor.
Eating small,frequent &nonspicy diet/drinking sufficient water would help to some extent.
