What Does Pain In The Legs Upon Sitting Crossed Leg Indicate?

Basically, I cross my legs when I sit down. Once I move my leg back down, it hurts to push in, like towards the other leg. Every once in a while if I try to bend it in, there will be a very painful crack, and then it hurts and is hard to walk on for a while. Also, after the crack, I have slight pins and needles on my foot.
