What Does Pain In The Jaw, Neck And Face Indicate?

Hi, I have been struggling with pain for awhile now. For about 9 months I ve had pain in my jaw and neck. I also started having nerve pain in my face about 4 months ago. I have a hard lump under each ear along the jawline. I recently had an ultrasound and it said there is an hypoechoic nodule in the parotid gland possibly representing an intraparotid lymph node. I have also have been experiencing low grade fevers, hair loss, and weight loss over the last few months. I ve also been experiencing systemic pain, weakness, tingling. My doctors have tested for autoimmune disease and results were normal. My doctor says I have TMJ and Trigeminal Neuralgia. I m not saying I don t agree this could be it but I don t think this explains all my symptoms. Do you have any advise?

As per your query you have symptoms of pain in the jaw, neck and face which is due to TMJ problem leading to suctioning and it can also be due to eustachian dysfunction, cervical spondylosis and systemic condition. I would suggest you to drink green tea with ginger thrice a day . Apply dry warm compresses on jaw and neck. You should take oral broad spectrum antibiotics to treat the infection. Put anti-inflammatory ear drops. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Doctor may also refer you to dentist for problem related to jaw like bruxism.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
