I am experiencing pain in my abdomen. It comes and goes but is increasing in severity. Pain has been present on and off now for 24 hours. I have some swelling/bloating and no real appetite. Should I be concerned? What can I do to ease the discomfort?
Hello, my name is Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern. Pain in the abdomen can be caused by many factors. It can be due to : -an infection -constipation -cramps -if you are a woman menstrual cramps etc I suggest you to do an abdominal ultrasound to rule out any cause of your pain. Mean while you can use : -anticholinergic medicine like buscopan 10 mg.It relieves the pain of stomach and bowel cramps by helping your digestive system to relax. -chamomile tea. Hope it helps. Kind regards!
