Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi- I m an 18 years old female and I had sex with my boyfriend yesterday and I experienced a severe sharp burning pain below my navel. The pain began gradually but became severe very quickly and we had to stop after less than a minute after the pain began. This pain continued for about an hour and I felt extremely nauseous during this hour. The only way I could get this pain to subside was by curling up into a ball and eventually time healed. I have been experiencing small pangs throughout the day today, but nothing nearly as serious as what I experienced yesterday. This really concerned my mother since she had to get her gallbladder removed at my age, and so did my grandmother when she was my age after an infection nearly killed her. I have no idea what this could be. Thank you for your time
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per my clinical experience, the current presentation suggests acute pain which may be triggered by intestine colic, muscle spasm during violent sex acts or others. As the intensity of pain has came down then yesterday, I would suggest to get relaxed, consume analgesic for further 2 to 3 days and consult afterwards about the progress.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
