What Does Pain Behind The Right Knee Indicate?

Hi Pain in the back of my right knee. Onset 8 months ago. Sometimes pain free. Hurts if I flex to far. Hurts and feels stiff if I ve been sitting for more than 5-10 minutes. No swelling. Pain seems localized at proximal head of fibula and medial side of knee. I m able to do squats with 100 pounds at the gym. Knee extensions, hamstrings curls. Prolonged walking makes it sore. Can t run without having it increase soreness.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There could be a popliteal cyst or Baker's cyst which kept in mind and if you are obese. You should lose some weight. An x-ray should be done then decide further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
