What Does Pain Above The Navel Upon Sudden Movements And Pressure Indicate?
pain 3 above and 4 to my right of the belly button. No pain when sitting but rising from a chair, sudden movements and the slightest finger pressure hurt. I have 2 lower abdominal hernias which have been repaired and occasional issues with diverticulitis in lower (large) intestine. Richard
hi sir,as both the hernias are repaired, the pain is probably due to diverticulitis.you might be having right colonic diverticular pouch infection and a localised abscess formation that is responsible for tenderness or slightest finger pressure hurt.usually in such cases, 1)a clear liquid diet 2)7-10 days of oral broadspectrum antibiotic therapy is recommended. before following the above regimen,we have to rule out any peritonitis due to free perforation of diverticula, any fistula formation.this can be done by erect radiograph of abdomen.so,you may need to consult a gastro specialist or a surgeon to confirm the diagnosis, rule out other abdominal causes like appendicitis and also for prompt treatment.this can prevent many unwanted complications.hope my explanation has answered your question.if any more issues, please let me know.i'm happy to guide you.thank you.take care.bye.
