Otomastoiditis is infection or inflammation of the middle ear and the connected mastoid air cells behind the ear. It may be acute or chronic. It is easily treated with antibiotics and supportive medication and requires minor surgical drainage only if a lot of pus is present. If untreated, it may spread to surrounding areas causing complications. What are your symptoms?
