What Does Orangish-red Urine Indicate?

Hi

My husband had a bad fall last Monday night and is badly bruised on his left side. One bad bruise above his left kidney. This morning he did not flush the toilet because I was still sleeping. When I got up I noticed that the urine looked orangish-red. I think he has blood in his urine. He will not go to his dr.

Urologist 's  Response
Hi.
I believe ur concerns r reasonable and genuine.
Bruise just above left kidney with reddish urine is indicative of left kidney injury in all probability.
Ask him to be on strict bed rest for at least 2- 3 weeks or until hematuria settles completely.
Visit a urologist. Get complete blood count, specially hemoglobin levels. Get ultrasound or CECT KUB to confirm renal injury and grade of injury. Monitor his vitals at regular intervals and urine output hourly.
Hope he gets fine with these.
