I have a history of diabetes in my family. I just had surgery on June 29th, for s blood clot, approx. 1 1/2 long, it was removed, and a stent installed. At the time, my right leg was very painful, and my large right toe was purple, black ish and very red. That subsided, but now, both feet are numb a lot, and my legs are slso at times. I had my G.P. do blood work last week, to see if diabetes could be causing this numbness, (also weight-loss, 120lbs. at 59 yrs. old. 6 -0 tall. I got the results today, the Hgb Alc w/eAg Estimation, Hemoglobin Alc is 6.6 High. with reference 4.8-5.6 interval. is says, please note: Pre-diabetes: 5.7-6.4 , Diabetes: 6.4 , Glycemic control for adults w/diabetes: 7.0 , Estim.
