What Does Nerve Swelling With Tinnitus Suggest?

i went for a mri of brain after test the tech ask me if one of my ears hurt i said funny u ask because ive had hearing issues going on for yrs and ringing and told her i actually am in progress of setting up a appt for ent she said i am not a dr but saw swelling near a nerve what does that mean?? she also kept asking me which ear i said i cant tell thought it was both what are your thoughts on this thanks

From the details you mention i fear that you have Cerebellopontine angle (CP angle) tumor and the most common variety is Acoustic neuroma (tumor of vestibular nerve of auditory nerve). Do you some time feel dizzy / giddy?
The study of MRI scan will confirm the exact diagnosis and further line of management.
