What Does My Sonography Report Indicate?

Hi Doctor, I was takingulatioe me Injecton for Ov infertility treatment. My gynecologist performed folliular monitoring, starting from my day 2nd to 23rd day of last monthly period (from 29/05/17 to 19/06/17) on 15/06/17 she gave me Injection for Ovulation & on 19/06/17 after TVS she confirmed me that a very good quality egg has been formed & we both shall stay together for more one day. on 10/07/17 i visited to my doctor clinic due to breast heaviness. she confirmed my pregnancy & asked to come on 18/07/17 for TVS. on 14/07/17 she performed my first TVS & informed that YS (3.51 mm) & GA sac (10.56 mm) has been formed but no cardiac activity seen. AS per sonography my pregnancy was about 07 weeks old.On 24/07/17 TVS repeated but only gastointestinal sac measuring (13.81) has been seen. How my pregnancy can be off 07-08weeks old as per follicular monitoring results.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Lack of cardiac activity by 6th week usually implies a non-viable fetus or blighted ovum.

The absence of cardiac activity is not necessarily related to the quality of ovum.

Although the ovum was of good quality still it can have any genetic defect in future.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri,
