What Does My Colonoscopy Report Indicate?

My doctor has called and is recommending a colonoscopy due to low hemoglobin count not sure of the num. what does that have to do with colon I have had a history of polyps but last colonoscopy no polyps maybe 8 yrs ago just want to understand why they would recommend colonoscopy?

Your doctor wants to know whether there is any bleeding haemorrhoids or hidden malignancy in your bowel which can cause small blood loss on a daily basis
