Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife had a chest X-Ray, PA and Lateral Views.. The findings are: Mild levorotoscoliosis is present of the lower thoracic spine. Heart is not enlarged. Aortic atherosclerosis and tortuosity are present. Pleural parenchymal scarring is present, burt I do not see any evidence of acute infiltrate, erosion, mass lesion or pneumothorax. She s worried. Can you tell us what all this means? Thank you.
Hello According to this report ,there is mild degree bone deformity present ,while rest of findings are insignificant . On the lower part of thoracic spine there is mild degree bending ( this is common ) . Mild degree large blood vessel also bending . No tuberculosis , no cancer , no pneumonia. Heart is of normal size . Pleural parenchyma may be thickened due to any old healed lesion. In my opinion , you should consult an orthopedic doctor for these deformities . Good luck.
