What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?

I had MRI scan which revealed that 2discs in my neck are damaged limiting spinal fluid flow, which could lead to becoming paralyzed if I had a bad fall and I would need an operation. it could also lead to loss of balance, which would be irreversible. I am terrified, please help.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you to consult a neurologist and neurosurgeon for clinical assessment. Since, the discs are damaged to an extent that it may obstruct the flow of spinal fluid, surgical intervention may be required. The surgery is safe with negligible side effects. You can safely go for surgery.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
