What Does My MRI Scan Indicate?

hi sir patient name shanti singh referred by Dr.hemant chatterjee (orth ) bilaspur mri scan of lumbosacacral spine impression L4-L5 disc reveals diffuse posterior bulge thecal sac L4-S1 disc reveals diffuse posterior bulge with bilateral foraminal component, indents both the exiting nerve root. mild facetal arthropathy and ligamantum flavum thickening noted at L4-L5 and L5 -S1 levels

1.The report says there is a disc slip posteriorly (diffuse) in all directions and causing mass effect on the nerve which is passing through the foramen, and mass effect on the spinal chord posteriorly.
2.There is a inflammation of the joint and ligamental thickening at the level of L4-5, L5-S1 level.
3.This features are seen in case of degenerative disc disease, seen as a age related issue / post traumatic / excessive usage due to hard working with weight bearing.
4.The treatment will be with simple back exercises to physiotherapy will help - in worst non resolving stage final treatment of choice is operative / interventional procedure.
