What Does Multilevel Cervical Foraminal Stenosis Mean?
Hi, i would like to understand my MRI report if you could please help me. 1- Multilevel cervical arthropathy and foraminal stenosis which is moderate to severe bilaterally at c4-c5 less severe stenosis at c3-c4, c5-c6 and c6-7, 2- There is a broad-based disc protrusion at c6-c7 level measusing 3mm. There is a right paracentral c5-c6 disc osteophyte complex measuring to-3 mm. 3- 1-2 mm retrolisthesis c4 and c5 4- There is a round circumscribe 8mm lesion in the center of the body T2 5- There is a rim of hyperintense signal and central low signal on the T2 and inversion recovery sequences. I know it s a lot of them but would appreciate your help very much.

The neck is made up of 7 small bones numbered 1 through 7. Theses bones have soft tissue between them called discs which allow movements to take place. on the sides of the discs, there exists small holes call foramen. Nerve roots pass through these foramen and then supply the muscles of upper limbs and chest in the case of nerves in the neck region.
Your report says that these bones have developed degenerative changes and the discs are also showing changes due to age and wear and tear. These changes have taken place at multiple levels and therefore describes as multilevel.
Also the discs have protruded at some levels to cause pressure on the nerve roots which are responsible for your pains.
