Hi im 21weeks pregnant and found out that my baby has mild ventriculomegaly..I was suggested to have congenital anomalies scan on nov 17..But i cant wait for the outcome though.. I wanted to know everything that could possibly be happening right now.. I never had infections or whatsoever during my first trimester..and this is my first pregnancy so i am really careful. Hi, thanks for writing..
i understand your concern..
Dont worry.. A detailed anomaly scan is necessary to know the degree of ventriculomegaly and whether it is associated with any other lesion.. isolated ventriculomegaly of 10-12mm has a good prognosis.. Severe ventriculomegaly needs a fetal MRI to see the prognosis of the baby.. Also a follow up scan is needed monthly to see for the ventricles.. hope i have answered your query.. Good day
