What Does Mild Prominance Of The Proximal Ureter Mean?

Hi I recently had an altrasound and it showed that my right kidney is 10.4m s compared to my left 11.4 and stated that there is mild prominance of the proximal ureter and renal pelvis, with a little foetal lobulation. I now have a lot of pain in my lower right side and had a ct scan today but unsure of the result, can you please advise what this means?

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggest there is prominence of the ureter with dilated pelvis and calyx.
2.The possibilities can be due to the distal obstruction which can be due to the calculus or stricture ureter.
3.Since CT had not mentioned about the calculus the most possible cause could be due to the stricture.
4.The other possibilities can be due to the extra-renal pelvis - but does not give any pain.
5.There can be calculus causing obstruction at lower or VUJ causing pain on your right side lower quadrant.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
