What Does Medical Test Report Suggest?

Hello Dr,
My mom age is 49 years.She is having tendency to high pressure and a her Sugar level goes up at times.Recently she was is feeling vomitting tendency and specially when she her stomach is empty.Dr suggested her to get a medical test.The Report showed
Glucose(F) 246.00 mg/dl
SGPT(ALT) 109.00u/lSGOT(AST) 7.002u/l
SERUM LIPASE 42.00IU/l
TOTAL PROTEIN 8.50gm/dlother reports UREA,CREATINE,BILIRUBIN(TOTAL),CONJUCTED,UNCONJUCTED,ALBUMIN,GLOBULIN,ALB:GLB,ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE,SERUM AMYLASE are normal

The labs show that she has a high fasting blood glucose levels which means that she has diabetes . She will need medications to treat her diabetes. Her SGPT is eleveted whic indicates some inflammation in the liver. I would suggest you get her Blood tested for Hepatitis B and hepatitis C. In case they are negative, start treatment for diabetes and repeat SGPT after a month. You should consult your doctor regarding which medicines to start for diabetes.
