What Does Lymphocele In Spine Mean?

I had an MRI done because I have been having upper back pain and numbness in my hands that radiates to my elbow at time. My hands also seem clumsy. I have been dropping things like crazy. My MRI said there is a small 7.7 mm CC by 3 mm cystic lesion present adjacent to the left T3 vertebra that may represent a small lymphocele. What exactly is a lymphocele in the spine?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Lymphocele is a cystic structure filled with lymph. Lymphocele is formed due to non-fusion of lymphatic sacs and it represents a congenital anomaly. It is non-neoplastic lesion, however, it may cause compression of structures around spinal cord.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
