What Does Lump Formation Below Knee Cap After Falling On Knee Indicate?

I fell a few weeks ago and landed on my right knee. It was painful, but not bad enough to effect normal activities it was paingul enough that i couldnt kneel down or put pressure on that knee. Now weeks later a lump has formed below my knee cap. Is it possible i chipped ny knee cap?

Thanks for your query.
From description it seems to be soft tissue injury . Large lump below kneep might be due to haematoma formation(collection of blood).
You need an x-ray to rule out any bony injury.
I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.You can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid putting weight and rest well.
