I have been suffering from low platelets count for 8 months. Now, my platelets are much lower at 58000.? mean platelet volume is 12.1 and WBC count is 3600. Rest CBC is under normal range till 30 th November 2011.I have no fever except diarrhea these days and infectious tonsils for 5 months. As I am afraid of having leukemia or other cancers. Hi,your wbc count is low normal. and platelets count is low. there are many causes of low platelets count like simple viral infection, malaria, ITP, Leukemia, and many more. if you have persistent low count then go for bone marrow examination once. consult hematologist and search for the cause of your low platelets and then take treatment accordingly.
