What Does Loose Motions With Mucous And Traces Of Blood In An Infant Indicate ?
Hi I want to know about the problem of my little? She is 20 months old. Last two days she got loose motions having mucous and little bit of blood in it. She continously passed the bowl 5-6 times in a day. Doctor suggested to give her just oral liquid. I am not satisfied yet, pls let me know what is the actual cause? Regards Asim Male.

your baby is having infection in G. I. tract. Along with ORS use homoeopathic medicine - MERC COR 30 / 2 drops 4 times with water.

Your baby is having GI infection,So please also add syp NorfloxTZ 1 tsf twice daily along with oral fluids for faster recovery.

Your baby has stomach infection and that is the reason to have blood in stools.It may be a viral/ bacterial/protozoal diarrhoea.If it is viral then you have to just maintain hydration by giving enough fluids and it will stop on its own in 2-3 days but if it increases or does not stop then you need to give the child antibiotics to help stop the motions.The antibiotic usually given is a combination of Metronidazole/tinidazole and ofloxacin/norfloxacin but the dosage is according to body weight so i would suggest you to reconsult your doctor or just in case you are not happy some other doctor and then only start on medicines.
