What Does Large Irritating Red Spot On Labia Minora Indicate?

I am 77 years old. I have a large red spot on labia minora. I did see a doctor about it a year ago. However the condition remains. It is helped by applying vaseline after urination. It is not painful, just irritating, at times. Is there any need to worry?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

Genital sores may appear as small, red, or flesh-coloured bumps and blisters. Topical and oral medications may treat the sores and relieve pain. I advise you to contact your dermatologist for further investigation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sam Salahia, Dermatologist
