Hello

Shadow in kidney is a non specific finding and it may be due to many causes.
It is important to know how it appears in ultrasound means whether it is hypo or hyperechoic in appearance. It may be due to many causes like hypertrophied column of bertini, adenoma, abscess etc.
You are rightly advised for contrast CT scan.
CT scan is very helpful in assessment of lesions.
CT or USG guided FNAC can be done if needed.
Proper treatment depend upon findings.

Take Care
