Sir i am 9 week 1 day pregnent ..yestarday i had donemy ultrasound..the report says that gestational sac seen sac margins irregular Yolk sac measured 7.0×6.2mm(6.6) Large yolk sac (less than 6mm) Fetal pole seeen Fetal activity absent Cardiac activity absent Crl 9.1 mm Is there chances of continue the pregnency

Thanks for writing in.

Going by age of pregnancy of 9 weeks, cardiac activity should have been present. There are times when due to wrong dates, the cardiac activity may be delayed in appearance. For this reason the patient is asked to come again in 15 days and get the ultrasound scan repeated. With absent heart activity and irregular sac wall including large yolk sac, the pregnancy may not be viable but still you may take another opinion and wait for 15 days and get another ultrasound scan done.

The yolk sac nourishes the fetus in earliest stages.
