lately i ve been peeing more often and every time i pee it hurts. ive almost not made it in time to the bathroom twice! its not a burning sensation, but it s VERY painful. the closer i get to finishing peeing, the more it hurts. sometimes when i wipe i see pink and a few blood droplets on the seat or n the bowl , to stop the pain i have to put pressure on my pelvic, but the pain returns not even 10-15 mintues later.. help??!

Urologist 's  Response
There is a possibility you could be having a urinary tract infection. You should gave your urine analysis done and if pus cells are high you should have a urine sample taken for culture and sensitivity. You can be empirically placed on antibiotics like nitrofurantoin 100 mg twice a day till the sensitivity report arrives. Other medicines like Flavoxate and pyridium 200 mg thrice daily along with alkalinization of urine may help reduce the pain and frequency and discomfort.
