What Does Hydrosalpinx After A Miscarriage On HSG Report Mean?

Iam tryng to conceive for almost two years with no sucess. i became pregnant four years ago but a i had a miscarriage. in the surgery they accidentally cut off one fallopian tube My HSG Report says the following : Uterine cavity morphologically normal right falopian tube morphologically normal - immediate peritoneal spillage Mid left hydrosalpinx - complete occlusion with no peritoneal spillage obtanaible what it means? Hi,

Your HSG is showing a block on left side tube, with right side tube being patent. Hydrosalphinx can hamper the process of attachment of embryo to the womb. You should undergo a laparoscopy to see the tubes and pelvic cavity. If there is adhesion these have to be removed. Also if hydrosalphinx is found, the tube needs to be removed, after discussion with you ,as it can decrease chances of pregnancy, both natural and IVF.
Moreover your other tube if normal can be retained and help in achieving pregnancy.
