What Does Hot Feeling, Redness And Burning In Knee Post Knee Replacement Suggest?

My knee replacement was 8 months ago. I am experiencing a hot feeling, some redness and burning on front of knee which has gotten more difficult to deal with in the recent months. The burning at night is so severe I can t stand it. The more I am on during day the worse it is. Ice helps but pain returns as soon as it is removed. Dr. says due to my compromised immune system I am slow to heal. I have Crohn s and possibly have MS. Antythoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi dear. I am your physician, having a vast years long experience in the field of General Surgery, psychiatry, Radiotherapy, OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, Ottorhinolaryngology and Nutrition and weight loss, and Pain Management. I have carefully gone through your case and in my expert opinion these are signs of acute inflammation. And after knee replacement immune system lowering agents are administered in regimen so that there is no problem of rejection or immune induced inflammatory condition. Consult your physician if you may use Steroidal medicines and anti-inflammatory medication. It will alleviate the symptoms.
Ice sponging is good. Do it many a times a day. Avoid extra walking. Take a little rest in between the steps during walking. It sometimes takes time for things to settle down in such cases. Hope you will get better soon.
Have a nice time. Hope I helped you in the best possible way. Thanks
