What Does High Levels Of ALT 41 In Blood Test Report Suggest?

My recent blood test showed the following reading: AST 22 down from 25 prior year and ALT 41 up from 37 prior year. What do these numbers mean and how can I bring down ALT within acceptable range?The Hemoglobin A1c is 6.7 up from 5.7% of total High. What do I need to do for this Doctor. Thank you in advance for your information.

Hi,
ALT and AST are within acceptable levels. Fatty change as age progresses could have caused the raised ALT level and it is not alarming to have that. However, you can try reducing alcohol and fatty diet. If you are overweight, weight reduction could help.
HbA1C appears to be raising. Each laboratory has different values. If it is on the borderline, you need to loose weight and control carbohydrates in diet. If it is definitely raised, you need to meet the doctor for treatment of diabetes mellitus either with lifestyle changes or with medication.
