What Does Flaky Skin On The Eyelids Indicate?

I have very red and flaking skin on upper and lower eyelids. Skin is very tender and now I have developed swollen bags under my eyes that has never happened before. My eyes are very sensitive to light but the skin issue is a bigger problem. I thought it might be conjunctivitis at first, but I don t have the discharge that I have had in the past.

dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them. Flaky skin is often eczema and this is a common spot for it. This common condition occurs in the context of allergies and allergy medicine usually helps it. Putting strong steroids onto the area will work but it isn't entirely safe on the eyes due to risk of cataract formation.
