What Does Elevated ESR Count Indicate?

My wbc, rbc levels are normal and ma platelets are normals as well. My hemoglobin is 11.4 and the esr 1/2 hr is 80 and 1 hr is 17. I took my blood test just after my exercise and I keep checking my complete blood count cause Iam a leukaemia patient. But since my wbc is controlled I wonder why my esr level is so high and it concerns me.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Elevated ESR is a sign of some sort of infection or inflammation in the body. But you have mentioned that your ESR is 17 at the end of one hour which is in the normal range. I don't think there is anything to worry about as your all other tests are in the normal range.

I hope that answers your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.Have a nice day.
