What Does Econometric 1.5 Cm Thick Mean After 2 Months Of Abortion?

Hi, I had a medical abortion 2 months ago (June 20)due to the lack of amniotic fluid of the baby (at 14 weeks) as explained by my doctor. Then I had already my first period after the abortion a month later (July 21st).But on the 31st of July when 8 had a transvaginal ultrasound. It was found out that my endometrium is 1.5 cm thick. What are the risks involved and what should I do? Thank you

Hi welcome to HCM....

You are having endometrial hyperplasia most likely ....

This is condition in which inner lining of uterus endometrium proliferated ...
Obesity and high estrogen mainly lead this. ...

As far as risk is concerned , you have to do dilatation and curratage procedure and sample send for histopathological examination....

If simple hyperplasia present than no worry , only clinical follow up necessary. ..
If complex hyperplasia present than regular follow up necessary as minor chance if malignancy can be there . ..And it should be treated with medication like progestine therapy. ....

So according to cause treatment individualised .....

Consult gynecologist for pelvic examination .

Take care ....
