What Does Eccentric Ovoid Gestational Sac In The Uterine Cavity Mean?

Dr. I am 6.0 weeks pregnant and yesterday I had a ultrasound the report says : there is a single eccentric ovoid gestational sac within the fundal portion ot the uterine cavity, with adjacent decidual reaction . A foetal pole and yolk sac were not seen. Yesterday morning I had some brown spot later on became red spots, today on my 6th week I had some sensation of my period and apparently I started bleeding three times clots and one accompanied with a what seems to be called polyps on uterus, this was very sad for me since doesnt look a good pregnancy. Please could you advise me? M.

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion the position of sac inside the uterus is termed as eccentric ie.,to one side or central ie.,in middle.Usually by 6 weeks fetal pole and yolk sac are seen.My aim is not to make you tense but bleeding during this period is not a good sign.I suggest you to get an ultrasound done to know the pregnancy status to rule out any miscarriage.
