What Does Early Period After Missing Birth Control Pill Mean?
So I missed one of my hormonal birth control pills, but I did not know I was supposed to take it when I remembered, even if that meant taking two pills in one day. I took the scheduled pill for the next day on time. I am now on my period and am not supposed to be for another week...does this mean I am pregnant?

Hi, I understand your concern. Missing one pill of contraceptives disturbs the hormonal level in blood & so there is withdrawal bleeding not pregnancy. On missing a pill ,one should take it immediately after remembering-to be followed by next pill at routine time. * If you are continuing your pills, you should use additional contraception during the remaining cycle. After completion of the pack, you will get your usual period & start with new pack as you usually do. * In case you have stopped taking pills, wait for the bleeding to stop, start having new pack of pills ,use additional contraception for 1st week & then only you can have protection by the pills.
Thanks.
