What Does Discomfort In The Rectal Area Indicate?

Hello! I have been feeling discomfort in my rectal area. I recently changed my diet & have had a hard time using the bathroom until a couple of days ago. I am not burning, itching, sore or anything among those symptoms. I feel pressure and discomfort as though my body wants to perform a bowel movement when I don t need to go. Again, it s pressure as if I need to go, but I dont. There is also pressure between the vagina and the rectal area. It s weird, I know.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Rectal area discomfort may be due to hard stools or constipation or fissure or hemp or Infection or perineum muscle spasm etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Eat soft diet, use syrp lactulose thirty ml after dinner for five days. Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
