What Does Disc Protrusion With Narrowing Of Canal In MRI Report Suggest?
Hi, I just received MRI results that state L3-L5 disc protrusion with narrowing of the canal. I am having continuous pain and radiation down left to knee and am suffering from severe sciatica. Am waiting to hear from neurosurgeon, have rx for flexeril and vicodin.What else can I do to alleviate the pain and nerve conductions going down my leg? What specifically does this MRI result mean?

1.That means the disc which is suppose to be between the vertebral bodies slips backwards and cause pressure effect on the chord canal.
2.At the same time the nerve in the canal gets compressed due to degenerative changes / trauma.
3.In this case depending on the stage of the profusion an operative / interventional prosecutes are planned.
