What Does Dilated Right Kidney In The Ultrasound Report Suggest?
This is Durga Malleswari, I am 28 Week 5 Day Pregnant.Ultrasound scan report says abnormal Body movements and cardiac acitivity good. but said has problem in kidneys Results are:Left Kidney 31mm pelvis dilated, anteroposterior pelvic diameter 12mm Right kidney 28mm pelvis dilated, anteroposterior pelvic diameter 11mm Is this a big problem for baby health? Pre delivery is required? I am worrying on baby health Please help me here Thanks in advance
1.The report suggest there is dilated pelvis and calyx which suggest there is distal obstruction. 2.The obstruction can be pelvis and ureter or bladder ureteric junction. 3.in this case the things to be monitored are amniotic fluid level, foetal bladder. 4.The AP - anterior posterior diameter to be monitored in regular basic. 5.If bladder is not seen or any abnormalities with amniotic fluid - foetal specialist should be scanned and decide for further steps.
