What Does Circular Bruise With Flesh Colored Center On The Back In One With PCOS Indicate ?

I am a 26 year old female. I recently had a large circular bruise appear on my lower back with a flesh colored center. I do tend to bruise easy off and on. I have polycystic ovarian disorder, and have been anemic in the past. I have done some research so some websites suggest an autoimmune disorder such as lupus . Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Thanks for writing in.
Currently your symptoms are not suggestive of lupus. If the rash on your back is associated with itching and a rash, it is likely to be a fungal infection.
If there is no rash or itching, its likely to be a bruise as a bruise would tend to clear in the centre first.
The tendency to bruise easily needs to be investigated. Please get a prothrombin time (PT/INR) and PTT done. Also, a platelet count would be needed.
Once we have the results we can take this further.
