What Does Chronic Edema In The Legs Be Treated?

I have a 73 year old lady living with me she has swollen legs and feet her skin looks like fried meat it is leaking puss and water she refuses to seek medical treatment I have small kids in the home just want to know if it is something they can get? I can send a picture to show you what it looks like

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

My opinion is that you should consult a MD medicine doctor. There are many things which causes lower limb swelling like kidney failure, heart failure and liver disease. In your case there may be a cellulitis (infection) for which you should know whether she has diabetes or not.
Check her blood sugar level. If there is pus coming out she needs antibiotics too. Better you take her to a hospital.
