What Does Burning Sensation On The Left Side Of The Abdomen Indicate?

Throughout the day I have been having a peculiar sensation. Feels like a hot flash only not central in nature like most hot flashes I have experienced during menopause. It is like a skinny hot poker that starts in the lower left side of my abdomen and climbs up to my left shoulder...then shoots up the left side of my neck and to the right across my shoulder blades at the same time. I have a history of back trouble due to a car wreck...specifically a comminuted compression fracture of T11 in 1992.

Hello,

I think you may be suffering from T11 nerve root compression so T11 vertebra level corresponding to lumbar cords so. Other possibilities are herpes zoster or Gastritis or Peptic ulcer disease or irritable bowel syndrome et cetera.

You can use tablet Pregabalin 75mg, twice a day for five. Please consult your physician and get upper GI scopy/neurologist for compression of nerve roots and get treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
