What does burning sensation in the vagina during intercourse indicate?

Hello, i ve been experiencing burning during sex, on the left side of the vulva right after the opening. Sometimes it burns sometimes it feels like I m being cut with a knife. I ve done all possible exams and X-rays and everything is fine. My gynocologist says that I have scars lubrification. Is there a cream I can insert? Maybe estrogen based? Or anything else that can cure this? Thank you Jess

Hello,

Burning sensation in the vagina during intercourse is indicating laceration of the mucosa. As all the tests resulted normal, then, it might be due to dry sex (you are not wet enough when penetration occurs). You can use lubricants to ease the dryness and burning. Apply vaginal hyaluronic acid to restore the mucosa.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
