What Does Burning Sensation In The Throat Indicate?

for several days now I have been having a dry burning sensation in my throat, deep in my throat, and have a discomfort in my chest,difficult to take a deep breath, usually in the late afternoon/evening. Last night is was bad trying to go to sleep, so I got up and took 2 baby aspirins and it went away in a few minutes, but it was back again this morning, took 2 more pills, it went away, I can t keep taking these pills.

Hello,

Based on the history, you have shared, you may be having acute upper respiratory tract infection like pharyngitis or tonsillitis however other causes which may lead to mass effect should be ruled out by a detail ENT specialist examination, and if need indirect laryngoscopy may perform. Meanwhile using over-the-counter (OTC) analgesics like acetaminophen and saline water gargles may help. X-ray of neck AP and lateral views may also be helpful to rule out any air fluid shadows or soft tissue extension. Barium studies do not need at this moment.
