What Does Brown Vaginal Discharge Indicate?

Hi Doctor, Today is 34th day of cycle for my wife. Today morning she checked pregnancy test and it showed negative. Then after a hour she had a light blood spot and also browny discharge. Till now no blood spot.. Can we consider this as pregnancy ???. My wife is telling that she will get period... She got breast pain during 25th - 32nd day.. Kindly reply for this message.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pregnancy tests can take 11 to 14 days after conception to show a positive result if this time has not passed, then it may need to be repeated if her period does not come.

If she is trying to conceive and there is difficulty with conception (if trying for more than a year) and assessment may be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
