Hi, The blood which comes in urine is called hematuria. The blood which comes with urine has many causes like the infection in kidneys, bladder or the tubes that urine passes through. It may be urinary tract infection or cystitis, or bladder infection, kidney stones, prostatomegaly, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, sexually transmitted disease, and erectile dysfunction. Some medicines like Nitrofurantoin and Rifampicin can also turn your urine red or brown. Some rare causes of blood in urine are some genetic disorders like sickle cell anemia, an inheritance blood disorder, von hippel lindau disease, benign tumors on kidneys, testicles and spine and systemic lupus erythematosus.
