What Does Blood Discharge After Using Canesten Vaginal Pessaries Indicate?

I have just used the canes ten pessary using the applicator as soon as I inserted it I urinated while the applicator was inside. Would that be because the aplicater pushed on my bladder? I then had bright red blood as I wiped which has just stopped now after about 30 minutes. I also feel pressure and the need to we and some burning is this ok.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As you said the applicator may injured urethra and the closed. While inserting you strained and passed urine with an applicator inside may cause injury and bleeding.

After wound may close -bleeding stopped. Better go to your doctor and check any injury.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr C.ELANCHEZHIAN, General & Family Physician
