What Does Blood And Mucus In Urine Indicate?

Hi I am a male 45 years of age I have been drinking heavily for the past few months. Recently notice just as I begin to urinate a whitish and sometime red string llike the red in an egg will appear in my urine. It s been happening for about 3 days.it doesn t move nor do I have discomfort. Any thoughts?

While excessive alcohol use directly would not affect your health in this way, but the associated life style and reduced body resistance due to changes metabolism can put you at risk of certain infection of the urine and reproductive passages.

This is the most likely reason of having the kind of discharge that you are reporting. It is important to know if you have had unprotected sex and change of partners in preceding months.

I suggest attending a clinic which can do a thorough check on your health and arrange for swabs and tests to identify the infection if any. This will be the starting point.
